I just did a performance test between operating systems (single piece of hardware, running Windows 8.1 x64 natively via Boot Camp, both with only Adobe CC and Logitech peripheral software running idle in the background; both versions of KeyShot are 64-bit and up-to-date).

OSX Yosemite:
126-127 fps

Windows 8.1:
119-120 fps

I'm not sure what accounts for this discrepancy. My Win 8.1 was a fresh install as of yesterday and all the drivers are updated. This is through a 5K monitor, so the Mac version is displaying a high-dpi interface too (looks like this isn't a feature on the Windows release yet).
It'll be interesting to see if there are any changes in performance once Windows 10, El Capitan and KeyShot 6 come out.

Abridged system info:
Mac Pro 6,1
Intel Xeon E5-2697 v2 12-core @ 2.70GHz
AMD FirePro D700 6GB DDR5 x2
12GB DDR3 ECC
256GB PCIe flash storage
