Hello :)

My newest project. I found this one quite a challenge, especially the label, which is a very rough paper material (with different metallic finishes for the text), instead of the more commonly used plastic labels.  My intention was to achieve a very pure and raw photo look.  :-)

Perfect!
I think this is the best KeyShot bottle I have ever seen. The label is looking amazing!

TpwUK

Very impressive - the labeling work is excellent and highly effective

Wrong!  I think these are the best KeyShot renderings of anything I've seen yet!  Superb work!  The splash in the glass is over-the-top! The DOF may be a tad excessive, but it works!

Well, what I did, is that I recreated the label using reference images. I then divided all the elements of the label in different layers, so that they could be assigned different label materials. Like so:

For the glas I used a solid glass material.
The liquid material was a dielectric shader with a gradient transmission.
The lighting ended up being quiet simple. I used two planes, a soft round pin and an emissive material as backlight.

Hope it helps :)

For a quick introduction take look at this part of the advanced material control webinar that Dries did a while ago. I think it is pretty cool.
