Hi all-

Finally nearing the end of a year long medical device design project, and we're choosing colors and branding.  I needed a good matte pebbled finish for the plastic parts.  So I pulled a high resolution scan of the actual molded texture, cropped it in CS5 and created a normal (bump) map in filterForge.  It accepts both scale (sync it!) and height well, and works under almost everything I tested it on.

The color chips show it in action. Only one surface is mapped on the transparent chips.  The beige and charcoal is the scheme we're using for the product.

Yours to enjoy!
