My first gallery post. Be kind guys.  :)
Would love to connect with others doing interiors.

very cool. great lighting.. can you explain a little about the lighting setup? thanks for sharing

martinwahlberg

Thanks a lot! The lighting is very simple. Just an hdri that I rotated so that the light would fall on the sofa. I can check which hdri I ended up using. I think it is one of Peter Guthrie's. No interior lights. Just a couple of  emissive materials but not used for lighting of course.
I used a white material for interior walls that aren't visible to reflect as much light as possible.
I think I added a hint of bloom in post. Just around the windows.
I must've tried about 100 different light setups before finding something I could live with. :)

thank you - great deal of detail in the scene which makes it look so real..

If anyone is interested I wrote a little about the process of creating this image here. www.wahlbergvisuals.com/process

This looks really, really nice. Loving the mood and the composition. Just perfect.

i presume you took this up to 1000 samples on interior mode?

martinwahlberg

No I didn't. Think I left it at 60 or something. I'm kinda new to Keyshot and have done very few interiors with it. Is pushing it up to 1000 something that is recommended?

rfollett

60 is pretty low but it looks great.. I usually do 128 or 256

martinwahlberg

Great thanks for sharing that. Gotta try raising it for the next one.

Very nice rendering. Love the breakdown on the site too!
