Some of the results from a recent deep dive on the Fuzz node. Trying to create interesting looking towels/rugs by using image and procedural textures to control the density, length and direction. Any feedback would be great!  :)

Thanks very much, going to try and do a deep dive on real cloth too then hopefully combine the 2.

I have already posted some tips on my Instagram but I don't want to plug it here. But to be honest it was mainly achieved using image maps (as the model was UV unwrapped) to control the density/length. (Black = 0%, White = 100%). I've also uploaded one of the scenes as a free download on my website  :)

Looks so real!
I just want to ask you about modeling. How did you make real towel model?

Thank you,

Thanks! I modelled it in blender using cloth simulation  :)
