For the last render you posted, I would make the GPS display light up ... also you could add a (red/orange/green?) glow in the 3 dashboard tubes that hold the speedometer and engine rev meter etc.

Renders on KS 3 means that the GPS is not lit up indeed. I've just switched to KS 4 so I will update some things. For the Speedometer and other gauges though, it's way too complicated to do as I only have a texture on it and not specific surfaces for the parts that light up and the parts that remain dark.

the last render was more of a test anyway, I didn't render it for too long, hence the crappy depth of field and the noisy blur.

I was away for 4 days (24h bike race at the Nurburgring  :P) so in the meantime, I set up the computer to do a 45h render of the Cayman  ;D
