I am trying to create a glass surface with a frosted window on it, is there any way of achieving this with a transparency map or other option. Or creating a frosted glass material and then having a clear window on that surface somewhere?
Thanks

Your easiest and fastest way may be to create the window in geometry, like blow a hole in it and then fill it up again, but not merging the features.  Then apply a separate color map to each (case and window) for use later in KeyShot.  Regardless, you need to create discrete mapping to define the "window".

Thanks for the input, if I blast the hole through the object will I get the refraction between the 2 parts that makes it look like they are separate?
appreciate the response,
