I've just installed the upgrade and I can't get 'Bloom/Vignetting' to work.

I'm looking at the 'Realtime' tab and I can't check the 'enable' box in the 'Effects' section.

Oddly, it appears to be a slightly different size to the other boxes on the same 'page'......

I'm also struggling with the 'emissive' materials setting - just can't get anything that looks like a light-emitting material right now.
I've got 'direct illumination' switched on.

Looking forward  to the video tutorial on v2.1 new features.......

Here's how I do it (click to playback video)

Hi, I'm a new comer from Japan.

I can check 'Enable' in 'Effects', but KeyShot freezes instantly!
I tried update install and clean install, but no difference...
Bloom and Vignetting are key features in 2.1, I think,
so it's very annoying...

I also noticed another issue in 2.1: Behavior of Idle time in Preference.
I can't rotate/move objects by mouse operation after idol time!
Once re-activated real time render by operation via Options->Camera,
rotate/move operation by mouse is re-enabled.
In 2.0 Pro (2.0.46), idol time setting affects only real time render,
I could move object by mouse in anytime, and I think it should be so...

Chippwalters - I understand, but I can't actually check the 'enable' box in the effects tab.  :o
It doesn't respond to a mouse click.

Could it be a matter of your video card supporting these features? It's my understanding that Bloom and Vignetting are GPU accelerated features in realtime.

Should matter though - any graphics card will do. What kind of graphics card do you have @kyosen

Hi

I'm having the same problem.  I've just installed 2.1 and run winxp 64bit with NVIDIA QUADRO FX4500 512mb card.

Everytime I try and click "enable" Keyshot freezes.

I've had no problems with enabling Bloom or it freezing up on my custom XP32 dual-quad with a Quadro FX1700 card.  However, adjustments to Intensity and Radius have no apparent effect.  Strength is OK and works well.  What Intensity does is obvious (if it did something) but what does Radius do if it did it?

Also, and this is a cool feature- when Bloom is enabled a neat black border tracks around the pixel boxes as the render does its' thing.  Neat feature that would be welcome on all rendering.

Once we figure it out Bloom will be a great tool!

Hi, now I'm using:
Quadro FX 3400 with WinXP 32bit & Forceware 190.38 in my home
Quadro FX 4500 with WinXP 64bit & Forceware 18?.?? in my office
...behavior is same on both environments :-[

It will have an effect if you crank it up - if you have a light source in the model, or a reflection of the light, intensity will make the bloom brighter, radius will control the spread.

Hello!

Keyshot crashes (totally freeze) after enabling the bloom tap.

System is windows xp 32bit with quadro fx1500 and keyshot 32bit 2.1

Crashes or freezes?

Hi!

It becomes non-responsive. I have to end the program from taskmanager. Its not geometry related, because it happens even in "empty" file.

ok. Do you have the idle time set in the preferences by any chance?

Is there only me that sees this (mis)behaviour?

I installed the upgrade patch - maybe I should try the full installer.

Thomas - am I advised to uninstall v2.0 first?
Many thanks.
